My Mission Is To Help Homeschool Dads Provide The Best Possible Support For Their Families!

"This Golden Hour" Can Be Easily Missed!

"When we started homeschooling many years ago, I was reluctant about the whole thing for the first while. I liked what I was seeing overall, but I wasn't on the same page with my wife about all that she was learning and implementing in our home with the kids. Plus, I was very stuck in the conventional, institutional way of seeing things. I had, and still have, quite a bit of "deschooling" to do!

"Over the years, I have fallen in love with the homeschool lifestyle and way to learn and live life. When I started getting more on board, I tried to get involved and help out, but I wasn't sure exactly what to do. I found that I stepped on my wife's toes a lot and didn't communicate with her the way I should have. I didn't support her in the ways she needed, and I wasn't helping her to take care of herself or fill her bucket with all the weight she was carrying.

"Years and years of trial and error and lots of mistakes have provided me a "hard knocks" education about how to be a more Proactive Homeschool Dad, a PHD. I still have a long way to go, but I have learned and changed so much. Now, I feel ready to share my experience and expertise and education with other homeschool dads, so they can be aligned with their spouses much quicker than I did, and they can contribute in meaningful ways to a thriving homeschool!"

The Transition From Passive Observer To Active Companion!

"I dove in. I started reading. I started listening (that's Module 3!). I stopped trying to 'fix' things and started trying to understand. I created a 'Purpose Document' (that's Module 2!) with my family. We defined our roles and found win-wins. I learned how to be an 'Advocate' (Module 4) and a 'Protector' (Module 6). The result? Transformation! My wife felt more seen and supported. My kids saw me as a part of their education, not an outsider. I created this course because I want every dad to feel this fulfillment. I want every homeschool mom to have a supportive companion."

The "Why" Behind It All!

I love my family like you do! Early in the homeschool journey I had a pivotal experience that motivated me like nothing else had. I was playing catch with the baseball with my oldest son, who was about seven years old at the time. It was a beautiful, sunny evening and we were in the front yard. I remember throwing the ball way high up in the air and my son standing below the ball waiting to catch it. It was simple. When we were walking inside the house, I was hit poignantly and powerfully with the realization that the time we have with our children before they leave our homes is short and fleeting. That turned out to be more true than I could have ever imagined or desired. It goes fast and so we should make the most of "This Golden Hour" with our children and family. Dads have a pivotal role and can choose to be more intentional about their role and involvement. This experience transformed me and I committed to be more proactive in all the good that was happening in our homeschool.
